The eighth Canadian edition of Electrical Wiring: Industrial is based on the 2024 Canadian Electrical Code (CEC). Beyond an accurate interpretation of CEC requirements, the successful completion of any wiring installation requires the electrician to have a thorough understanding of basic electrical principles, a knowledge of the tools and materials used in installations, familiarity with commonly installed equipment and its specific wiring requirements, the ability to interpret electrical construction drawings, and a constant awareness of safe wiring practices. It also recognizes that each industrial facility has unique challenges and hazards that may require an electrician to work under a permit system. This product is a part of the Electrical Wiring series, which prepares students to pass their Red Seal Qualification Exam, the national exam required before students can begin their careers as professionally certified electricians.
