It’s difficult to understand the issue of affordability. Cost, price and aid vary across institutions—and institution types, such as public, private, two-year and four-year, as well as online and on ground. Of course students and families also contend with their own set of challenges.
There is an educational solution that saves money, ensures greater preparedness, streamlines processes and delivers results. A model that empowers faculty to teach without financial limits and equips learners with the resources they need to get all they can out of their courses. Get it all with Inclusive Access.
Inclusive Access is a business model that integrates the cost of course materials directly through the campus bookstore or other preferred transactions. The Inclusive Access model at Cengage does this PLUS delivers content directly, and seamlessly, to an institution’s Learning Management System (LMS) or other preferred channel so students are ready from day one.
Note that inclusive access is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor. Instead, we consider an institution’s appetite for digital adoption—then build out a solution that’s uniquely yours.
Student retention in the English Department at Rowan-Carrabus Community College increased by 16 percent. See how providing Inclusive Access for affordable, immediate courseware enabled this.

Working alongside your institution’s leadership and bookstore, we create a master agreement—freeing faculty from having to implement the Inclusive Access model individually. Additionally, we partner with third-party providers including Vital Source, Red Shelf, Verba, Follett and Barnes & Noble providing your institution with a seamless experience. With Inclusive Access, the only thing your faculty need do is opt in!

Higher education should level the playing field, providing equity to each learner. Unfortunately, there are barriers that still exist for students across family income groups and socioeconomic status. Hear from Dr. Jenny Billings, Chair, ACA English Developmental Studies at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, and Cheryl Costantini, Vice President Content Strategy, Cengage, as they discuss accessible education for all.
No two institutions are the same, and the needs of diverse learners require flexible solutions. That’s why Cengage is proud to be a company of choice with robust learning opportunities for students and faculty.
