Cengage Advantage Books: Introduction to Sociology 11th Edition by Henry L. Tischler

Overview

Packed with current examples students can easily relate to, Tischler’s INTRODUCTION TO SOCIOLOGY, 11E delivers comprehensive, up-to-date coverage in a succinct and affordable format. The new edition is now a concise 16 chapters. Known for providing full coverage of sociological concepts in an accessible format, Tischler threads two basic ideas throughout: sociology is a rigorous, scientific discipline, and basic knowledge of sociology is essential for understanding social interaction in many work and social settings. The text begins by providing students with tools for success, including tips for how to read, study, and take tests more effectively. It also features a built-in study guide and practice tests to ensure thorough understanding. In addition, chapters progress from a specific to a general analysis of society--each part introducing increasingly comprehensive factors necessary for a broad-based understanding of social organization.
