Overview

MindTap Art for Lazzari/Schlesier's Exploring Art: A Global, Thematic Approach, Enhanced Edition, 5th Edition, is the digital learning solution that helps instructors engage and transform students into critical thinkers. The new eBook reader\u2019s two-pane design allows students to view images on the left side while reading about them in the scrolling text discussion on the right. The image integration extends to the eBook\u2019s navigation, which shows in one place all of the images within a chapter. The MindTap also offers \u201CIn the Studio\u201D artist videos, chapter-opener author videos, and suggestions for art projects, which help students understand the relevance of art.

  • MindTap® is the first image-led educational software for art that keeps the core content – the artwork—at the forefront of study. This highly customizable and interactive, image-first digital experience encourages students to discover the history and meaning of art with a visually rich eBook that places the art, surrounding discussion and curated content all on the same two-page spread. Students can zoom in on and expand image details, explore curated content such as videos and architectural panoramas, visit significant locations of the works of art and architecture via Google Maps, and more—all without losing their place in the discussion.
  • Build and personalize your course by integrating your own content into the MindTap Learning Path using your own documents or pull from sources like RSS feeds, YouTube videos, websites, Google Docs and more. Control what content students see and when they see it with a learning path that can be used as-is or matched to your syllabus exactly.
  • Save students money in their course materials with a single destination that reflects exactly what’s important to you, the instructor.
  • Provide students with organizational and study tools designed to better manage their limited time, allowing them to complete assignments whenever and wherever they are ready to learn.
  • Empower students with the information to know where they stand at all times—both individually and compared to the highest performers in class within the student view of the Progress App.
  • The Message Center app helps you to quickly and easily contact students directly from the MindTap platform. Any message posted in the Message Center is communicated directly to each student enrolled in the course via the communication medium designated by the student.
Chapter Preview: Presents an introduction to the key concepts of the chapter and tells students what they will learn.

Read: Chapter eBook. The image-first reader pairs videos and the corresponding discussion on the same spread. Students can access engaging supplemental content without ever leaving the image itself.

Study: A collection of study tools for students, including image flashcards, an image guide (a note-taking template with chapter images), and interactive foundations modules.

Assignments: Resources for students to further explore the content and assess their understanding, including a chapter quiz, visual art projects, and discussion prompts.
MindTap
Each MindTap product offers the full, mobile-ready textbook combined with superior and proven learning tools at one affordable price. Students who purchase digital access can add a print option at any time when a print option is available for their course.

This Cengage solution can be seamlessly integrated into most Learning Management Systems (Blackboard, Brightspace by D2L, Canvas, Moodle, and more) but does require a different ISBN for access codes.
