LEARNING PATH
Truth or Fiction. These stimulating true/false statements entice students to delve into the subject matter by challenging folklore and common sense. For instance, items in Chapter 3 and 7, respectively, state: "Babies can be born addicted to narcotics and drugs" and "Child abusers have frequently been the victims of child abuse themselves". This quiz is taken at the beginning of each chapter, and the students are provided with direct feedback that provides an analysis of the truth or falsehood of the statements posed at the beginning of the chapter.
Investigate Development. These interactive case-based simulations put students in real-life roles where they observe, evaluate, and make decisions about human development.
Diversity of Development Videos. Students observe the differences in individual development experiences through filmed interviews with a diverse group of respondents.
Reflect & Relate. These questions, which students answer after a section of reading, help students relate their personal experiences to what they just read to help them better understand the content.
Cerego. Students will begin to learn the vocabulary presented in the upcoming chapter through adaptive flashcards, matching exercises, and more through Mastery Training powered by Cerego.
