Lisa Tunks

Dr. Lisa Tunks is a Health and Wellness Curriculum Design specialist who works with teaching professionals and editors to create student-centered curricula in an ever-changing learning environment. She has helped shape the landscape of teaching and learning excellence through effective accreditation and classroom practice both as a professor and administrator at Broward College. After over two decades of professional teaching in Florida, Dr. Tunks relocated to South Carolina where she focuses her professional energy teaching Public Health at Coastal Carolina University. Dr. Tunks holds a Masters in Exercise and Sport Science as well as a Doctorate in Higher Education from the University of Florida.​

Lara Lauzon

Lara Lauzon is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education at the University of Victoria. Her teaching and research focus is human wellness and potential and active health. She has worked for non-profit, municipal, provincial and private health and fitness agencies. Lara co-produced and hosted a long running internationally syndicated health and fitness show called Body Moves. She has won many awards including a Faculty of Education Teaching Excellence Award, a Graduate Student Award for Teaching Excellence, the Victoria ‘Y’ Women of Distinction of Award for the fitness and health category, the B.C. Promotion Plus Leadership Award for promotion of girls and women in fitness and sport, a B.C. Paraplegic Association Award for the production of two fitness videos for persons with disabilities, and a Community Wellness Award. She has written numerous fitness and health columns for newspapers and magazines and has published a number of fitness and health journal articles. Lara has co-authored a textbook titled An Invitation to Health, First Canadian edition along with Diane Hales, and is also a popular keynote speaker and workshop presenter.
